Public Utility Commissions or Public Service Commissions are state agencies that provide oversight and regulate investor-owned or privately-owned utilities that provide electric, gas, water, wastewater and\/or telephone services. Each commission has three to five commissioners who are appointed by the Governor or, in some cases, elected. Below is a directory of Commissions that regulated electric utilities in each state in the west.
