The Arizona Corporation Commission put out a proposed order on PURPA reforms on Monday in response to filings from three utilities (UNS ELECTRIC, INC; ARIZONA PUBLIC SERVICE COMPANY; TUCSON ELECTRIC POWER COMPANY). The commission is set to vote on revisions to PURPA without any workshop or other forum for discussion. This potential vote comes just three business days after release of the proposed order.
In its comments, WGG requested that the filings be rejected due to the fact there has been no opportunity for public comment on this issue and no demonstration of the need for changes proposed.
